Workshops and Classes Life-Coaching Emotional Intelligence

Inner Sessions is dedicated to fostering the practice of compassionate awareness in individuals, families, organizations and groups. Through coaching, consulting, education, and experiential workshops, Inner Sessions provides people with opportunities to discover and explore powerful change resources. As the sole owner and proprietor, it is my personal goal to gently guide individuals toward greater self-understanding and increased relational insight. In this role I often return again and again to what seems to me an unchanging truth: In order to foster effective change, we must learn to sustain awareness of our intentions across an extended arc of time. Only through this exercise of returning to our intentional ground can we eventually open the doors to the realization of our goals and the achievement of our dreams.

"Hope" is the Thing with Feathers

*

"Hope" is the thing with feathers

That perches in the soul,

And sings the tune without the words,

And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;

And sore must be the storm

That could abash the little bird

That kept so many warm.

I've heard it sing in the chillest land,

And on the strangest sea;

Yet never, in extremity,

It asked a crumb of me.

Frederick C. Bryan, MA, CAPF, LPC-I is a Life-Coach and a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern with over 30 years of personal growth experience in journal writing, poem-making, teaching, theatre, and music performance. He believes that encouraging others in self-acceptance, tolerance, self-empowerment, and increased self-awareness is the surest path to his own personal fulfillment and happiness. His calling as a guide and a teacher has led him on many paths of preparation. During the academic portion of his journey, Frederick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, with Theatre and Psychology as focus areas, and a Masters of Arts in English, both from Oregon State University, as well as a Masters of Arts in Psychology, with a focus in Poetry Therapy, through The Union Institute and University's Vermont College Regional Program. An active member of the National Association for Poetry Therapy, or NAPT, Frederick holds certification as an Applied Poetry Facilitator through the National Federation for Biblio/Poetry Therapy. In 1996, Frederick trained with Kathleen Adams, of the Denver-based Center for Journal Therapy, to teach the Journal to the Self© workshop. Frederick also has completed extensive trainings in Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy or IFS. Development in these two models led him in late summer of 2003 to train with the Dietzs, who offer Emotional Intelligence Trainings to European corporations, drawing heavily from IFS and Hakomi prinicples and practices. Frederick weaves all of these tools into his coaching, often including the gentle use of developmental writing and poetry.

Frederick's self-presentation combines his innate compassion and skillful understanding with a gentle and friendly delivery. A dynamic and entertaining presenter, and a compassionate listener and therapeutic guide, Frederick generaously offers his extensive experience in personal growth, music, theatre, education, personal growth, and coaching. His wealth of knowledge, gentle wisdom, unique warmth and sense of humor combine to create experiential educational environments and interactions that are safe, effective, nurturing, educational, enjoyable, and fulfilling.
